NGC PR 64. Seul exemplaire connu de ce millésime sur flan épais. Cet extraordinaire exemplaire d’un poids supérieur de 30%, aux quelques autres frappes en or répertoriées pour d’autres dates, est frappé sur flan bruni, presque Fleur de coin

Victoria. Trade dollar 1896 B, Bombay, struck in heavy weight gold. Pr 2B, KM T5a, 44, 30 g. Provenance : Spink coin auction 38, the 10 October 1984. NGC PR 64, only one graded. This can be correctly called the finest known. and in fact it may be unique, probably the coin given to the governor of Hong Kong. Only a handful of gold strike trade dollars are known to exist of any year. This extraordinary coin weighs 30% more than normal. It is the only known extra thick heavy weight gold of any year. Proof, nearly Fleur de coin.
